General regulations of the Barbarka Rope Park
- Protection on the Rope Park relies on self-locking in safety ropes. If for some reason someone is not able to complete this, they are not allowed to enter the obstacles on the Park.
- Usage of rope tracks carries a certain risk. Passing tracks requires appropriate psychophysical predispositions.
- The Rope Park can be used by:
- adults
- minors aged between 14-18 years with a consent form from their parents or guardians
- children aged between 6-13 years with a consent form from their parents or guardians under control of a supervising adult
- A supervising adult is an adult (parent, legal guardian or authorized person) who supervises minors under the age of 14 during their passage through the Rope Park course. The supervisor is adequately trained in the supervision of the child. The supervising adult should see the child all the time and if necessary intervene verbally.
- Before using the Rope Park it is necessary to read and understand the regulations, pay the fee, sign an appropriate statement (could be signed by the guardian) and receive training on safety rules.
- People who have consumed alcohol or other intoxicants cannot use the Rope Park. People whom, Instructors of the Rope Park reckon do not meet the requirements, may be asked to leave the park.
- People suffering from heart disease or other conditions that might endanger their health or life while putting in manual effort cannot use the Rope Park.
- There are three tracks in the Rope Park – blue, pink and green. You can enter each of them if you have the right height. The minimum height to enter the blue track is 120 cm, pink – 140 cm, green – 160 cm.
- People who are significantly taller than the required minimum may use the track, but they must be careful. The height of protection ropes and the construction of the obstacles is optimally adapted to people with a height close to the minimum for a given track. Attaching to a rope provides protection against falling from a height, but for taller people ropes might interfere during the passage and in case of falling you can hit an element of the obstacle.
- Entrance to the Rope Park obstacles may take place only after permission of the Park’s Instructor.
- Types and prices of the tickets are specified in the Price List of the Rope Park.
- If, after purchasing the ticket, crossing the Park route turns out to be impossible due to meteorological reasons or the fault of the Barbarka Rope Park, it is possible to refund the ticket or change it for an entrance to the Park at another time (with the client’s consent).
- People who after receving the equipment and finishing the training decide not to cross the Park’s route or cross only part of it are not entitled to a refund (unless the reason of the resignation is not on their side).
- On the obstacles you should move in accordance with safety rules.
- People in the Barbarka Rope Park are obliged to follow these regulations and the commands of the Park’s Instructors.
- Unauthorized people cannot be near the climbing wall, directly below the track or near zip lines.
- The Instructor may refuse to give access to the Park’s attractions (or their parts) or order to leave them. It may happen when meteorological conditions occur, which threaten the safety of clients using the attraction or there is another potential threat to the park users or the Instructors.
- People at the Rope Park cannot pose a threat to the life or health of themselves or others, both on the ground and at height.
- Barbarka Rope Park prohibits drinking alcohol and smoking on the premises.
- All accidents and injuries should be immediately reported to the staff.
- Failure to comply with any point in the regulations might lead to expulsion from the Rope Park.
- Matters not covered by the regulations are governed by the provisions of the Civil Code.
- The rules for the use of loyalty programs are set by the providers of these programs.
Safety rules in the Barbarka Rope Park
- Equipment dedicated to pass the Park is given by Instructors (harness with lunges, carabiners, pulley and helmet).
- It is unacceptable to use private safety equipment.
- Equipment is put on only by Instructors. After this, changes are not allowed.
- Jewellery, glasses, mobile phones etc. should be protected in order not to pose a threat to the health or life of the owner or other customers of the Park.
- Long hair should be tied into a ponytail and hidden under a helmet if it is possible.
- The belaying on the Park’s tracks consists of being attached to a steel safety rope through two blue carabiners (at the moment of pinning- by one). The pulley is an additional device – used only on the zip line.
- The attachment points of the carabiners are marked with blue and the pulley is marked in red.
- Carabiners should be attached with locks in opposite directions.
- After each attaching of the carabiner you must check that the lock is closed properly.
- While moving around the Rope Park the carabiners should be clipped in individually. It is forbidden to remove both carabiners from the safety rope at once.
- When on the steel rope there is a red tape next to the blue one, the pulley should be attached there. The pulley is clipped to the rope first, thelunge shouldn’t be twisted. Then, behind the pulley, you should clip the carabiners. The order of the gear is marked on the rope with colours.
- While going down the zip line, you should only hold onto the lunge of the pulley.
- Grabbing the steel rope while going down the zip line might cause injury.
- The only acceptable position during the zip line is the “sitting” position.
- When approaching the platform lift your legs and bend them lightly to absorb any impact on the mattress. At the moment of stopping, catch the additional loop to avoid driving away from the platform. You should not catch the rope behind the pulley to avoid injury or any other elements besides the additional loop.
- In the last phase of the zip line, hands should not be stretched out towards the mattress.
- If you don’t manage to grab the loop and drive away from the platform, wait until you stop and then grab the rope above your head and pull yourself to the platform.
- After the zip line, the following sequence must be retained: first the carabiners are clipped to the loop next to the tree, then the pulley is unattached and clipped to the side of the harness.
- When climbing the climbing wall and the ladder, carabiners should be clipped so often that they are not below the attachment point to the harness (waist height).
- While passing through the Rope Park, calmness is desirable. Do not jump on the obstacles or swing on attractions which are not adjusted to it.
- There may only be one person on each obstacle at a time.
- There can be a maximum of two people on the platform.
- In the case of loss of strength, resignation or other reasons preventing the completion of the track, please call the staff to be safely brought to the ground.
